Ed Hawkins is Professor of climate science, Academic Lead for Public Engagement in Department of Meteorology, Principal Research Scientist in NCAS and editor of Climate Lab Book blog. He is popular with some of the most astonishing climate inspired data visualizations you can see on the web.
Yesterday he posted another great example of how maps can speak clearly without words. Series of maps were used to visualize changes in global temperatures for every year from 1850 to 2017.
Without seen clearly land and oceans and even labels on all the maps, the trend in global temperatures is obvious. Is it possible for someone to argue that today the Earth is warmer?
